Intended audience: All medical officers who work in SA Health are required to undertake this training, however the training is available for everyone within SA Health.

About this course: Under the Coroners Act 2003, medical practitioners have a responsibility to report a death that may be a reportable death to the State Coroner. In 2015 and 2016 SA Health undertook an audit, Coroners Act Compliance Audit, which determined a requirement for further training.

This training aims to explain the legislation and through the use of scenarios based training it is envisioned that the knowledge of those who have completed the training will increase.
